Small (or large) victories: The +1 thread

Post by Flaw »

This thread is all about sharing your wins or achievements—if you achieved something that aligns with with your goals in your personal life, we'd like to read about it!

I'll go first:

Recently, I got to meet up and hang out with some friends for the first time in the city! Though I got home a bit late, I had a lot of fun and I'd like to catch up with them again sometime!

I had a pretty chill out stream where I got some more work done on the stream that I didn't think I was otherwise going to do, and learned a bit along the way! Summary:
  • Once a variable is defined, wrap them with forward slashes and dollar signs. For example if I wanted to get a variable user, I'd use this:

    Code: Select all

    /$user$/
  • The overtime command is used for cooldowns so while you can spam, you have to pass a threshold before a button can be activated again.
  • Delete variables ahead of time especially if you're planning on fetching information like Twitch User and Channel information, else it may be stale if you depend on the Wait Until Variable Exists command.
  • Use that Variable Window to see what's going on! It'll let you dive into objects, and let you easily copy variables to the clipboard for use in commands!

I picked up some fine-liner pens and markers to try and do some sketching.

The results are pretty neat, but I'm very aware that my technique is not all that great, and that there's definitely room to grow in this space.

From https://beep.flawbee.net/notice/AXgWfflpBcmpcfs848, a simple rendition of the Sydney Opera House:

Honestly the toughest part is picking something to draw right now, but I'm pretty happy with where I'm at right now.
